Father’s Day is fast approaching, and sometimes it can be difficult deciding what to get for that perfect gift. If you have a Dad that is difficult to buy for (like mine), finding the right present can be a stressful time. This article is here to help you buy the gift that will make this Father’s Day one to remember. From the simple to the unusual, you’ll find something for every Dad in this Father’s Day Gift Guide.

Up to £25:

Alcohol

An easy way to say “Cheers, Dad!”. For a price range of up to £25, there are plenty of options out there. You’ll find great deals on booze at any of the major supermarkets. A posh bottle of wine, a crate of beer and there are always offers on premium spirit brands. No matter what their preference, you will be able to get something nice for your old man to appreciate what he does throughout the year. For a more special Father’s Day gift, check out Beer Hawk’s Cheers Dad Beer Box – 5 fantastic craft beers, a glass and a snack delivered to their door.

Chocolates

If alcohol’s not their thing, then an alternative gift with the same value could be a box of carefully selected chocolates as they always go down a treat! Hotel Chocolat have a lovely box for just £23.50. With many different ones to choose from: Milk, Dark, Fruity and even Vegan. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this range. If you give your Dad the chocolates in person there’s always a chance you can snaffle a couple of them!

Personalised Book

If you’re a Mum looking for an unusual Father’s Day present for Dad from your little ones, then you should check out Letterfest. They make beautiful bespoke gifts, and they have a range of wonderful, personalised Father’s Day story books. Prices start at around £20. Guaranteed to bring a tear to the eye of even the toughest Dad!

Up to £50:

Aftershave

Everyone likes to smell nice, and aftershave is a Father’s Day gift that will always hit the mark. If your budget is £50, aftershave would be an excellent present to give your Dad. Although many world class fragrances retail at three figures or more, you’ll find a huge amount of great aftershaves around the £50 mark. You will be able to impress your Dad without breaking the bank.  If you do not know the exact one that your Dad wears, have a sly check of the bathroom next time you visit. If you’re still not sure, there are plenty of miniature gift sets which include a few different fragrances. Hogies Online have a great gift set of Calvin Klein scents.

Wallet

Another idea for up to £50 would be to get your father a new wallet. He’ll be able to use it time and time again, and good quality ones can last years. You can add a thoughtful touch by personalising the wallet with an engraved message or placing a loved photo inside as a keepsake. Roseinside have a brilliant website which allows you to select a top quality leather wallet and download a favourite photo which is then engraved on the outside.

Retro Game Console

If your Dad’s a gamer, take him on a nostalgic trip back to the 80s with a retro game console. They’re more time machine than games machine, as when your Dad switches it on it will be 1984 all over again. Most of the old games consoles have been brought back in one form or another. But for real old tech-heads, Menkind have a fantastic version of the old Commodore 64, the king of early 80s home computers. The package includes a retro joystick and 64 classic built-in games. You can even write your own basic computer games – just like the old days! Don’t be surprised if he tries to buy a BMX after this…

Board Game

Why not buy Dad a new board game? This fantastic game from Excellence Games allows you and the family to have a fun-filled evening learning more on black culture while navigating around the board with tons of entertainment along the way.

Up to £100:

Virgin Experience Days

£100 can get your Dad an extremely thoughtful Father’s Day gift and even give you the opportunity to spend some quality time with him. Virgin Experience Days have so much to offer and are brilliant value for money. No matter what hobby your Dad enjoys, Virgin Experience Days will have something to suit him. You can search by category, location, price range and more. The possibilities with this are vast; from a 3-course meal to flying in a helicopter. You are guaranteed to find something for your father to enjoy, either on his own or with you.

Wristwatch

However, if a gift like this is not something you would usually do and you prefer to buy them a physical present then something simpler like a wristwatch would also make an excellent gift this Father’s Day. While you won’t get a precision Swiss timepiece, you can get a quality automatic watch for £100 or less. Diesel, Swatch, Seiko, Casio and Invicta all offer excellent watches for those on a budget.

Noise Cancelling Headphones

If your Dad is a music buff, or just wants a little piece and quiet every once in a while, then a pair of these could be just the ticket. Amazon have some fantastic deals – including the Sony WH-CH710N Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. Their lightweight and stylish design means they look as good as they sound – and they sound amazing. With a battery life of up to 35 hours, Dad’s can shut out the world as they listen to music. They’re also easily pared with TV and laptops for distraction-free entertainment or those all-important Zoom meetings.

Luxury Gifts

Maybe this is the year you want to push the boat out and give your Dad a truly special Father’s Day gift to show them how much you care. If you have cash to splash this Father’s Day, here are three ideas they will really appreciate and will never forget.

Hybrid BBQ

Most fathers seem to think they are masters of the grill, knowing all the secrets of juicy burgers, sizzling steaks and skewering sausages. If your Dad loves to cook outdoors, then a top quality hybrid BBQ grill could be an ideal option. The Char-Broil Gas2Coal Hybrid BBQ can be used with either charcoal or gas, so they can get the smoky taste of charcoaled food, with the speed of a gas powered grill. If you need a Father’s Day gift for a Dad with pitmaster ambitions – look no further.

Robot Vacuum Cleaner

If your Dad’s into his home tech, and hates household chores, this is one of the coolest pieces of kit he could own. iRobot’s Roomba are amongst the market leaders in this sector. Their i7+ model is controllable via an app and actually maps and adapts to its home. It also empties itself into a special bag and handles its own recharging. With this Father’s Day gift, your Dad can put his feet up, stick the Euros on and crack open a beer while the robot cleans all the floors quietly around him.

LifeBook

If you are in the position to really spoil your Dad, then a LifeBook project would be a perfect Father’s Day gift. LifeBook, the world’s leading private memoir and autobiography service can help your Dad create his own personal memoir of his life so far. It is a stunning gift not only for your Dad to cherish but for his children, grandchildren and future great grandchildren to read back on in years to come. There are four different service packages to choose from and you can pay in 6 instalments. Check out LifeBook to view pricing and packages.

Final Thoughts

I hope that the ideas above help you decide what you are going to get your Dad for Father’s Day. No matter what your budget, and what gift you end up deciding on, I am sure they will love it and will enjoy spending time with you this Father’s Day.
